The $50K Charity Challenge Basketball Competition with Floyd Mayweather attending.

July 21, 2018

Monster Energy Outbreak Tour and Live Nation special event presented the $50K Charity Challenge Celebrity Basketball with NFL players, NBA Players and celebrities who attended to challenge each other on July 17, 2018 at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion located at 301 Westwood Place in the City of Los Angeles, California.

The event raised money for multiple charities in addition to host beneficiary Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend’s “Who Cares Initiative Teen Cancer America.”  The teams played for different charities.

The players had fun running around trying to make the hoop going back and forth. The ball ended up in Miles Brown’s hands, the youngest on both teams, when someone grabbed it out of his hand.  One of his teammates ended up with the basketball again and gave it back to Miles.  Floyd Mayweather once in a while would hug another player to stop them from making the hoop. It was all fun and games to entertain a packed house. Tee shirts and gifts were thrown out to the audience to grab and have.  A young lady was making flips on the court during small break times, while media got to take shots of the players.

Halftime show featured music artist Tyga (Hip Hop Artist) along with Iggy Azalea. Tyga and Iggy had the crowds on their feet while singing one of their hits.  Later, Tyga stayed on the court to sing a few other favorite tunes.  Saweetie (Music Artist) came out with her dancers for the first entertainment music artist.  A 3-point challenge and free throw contest by celebrities was the half-time entertainment as well.

Game coaches Eric Dickerson (Former Football Player) and Andre Drummond (Detroit Pistons) in support of their team players, ran up and down the court to win funds for the charities.  Peter Rosenberg (Hot 97 / ESPN) and Maria Menounos (TV Host) were the Game Commentators.  Event was hosted by DJ Felli Fel from Power 106.

Having fun on the court, entertaining the audiences and supporting charities was worth the time of all of the talent to come out to support and enjoy.  Even if they are not professional basketball players, it is challenging and enjoyable for guests to see their favorite people have fun and contribute for an excellent cause.
