85th Musical Birthday Celebration for Quincy Jones at the Microsoft Theater.

The Grammy winner, American Record Producer and Musician Quincy Jones known as “Q” celebrated his 85th Birthday with celebrity guests at the Microsoft Theater on September 25, 2018.

The Q85: Musical Celebration of Quincy Jones was a musical gathering that brought many celebrity guest, friends and fans for a delightful night. The celebration will be televised soon for all to enjoy.

The musical line up of talent was an extraordinary surprise for Mr. Jones and celebrity guest that joined him for this once in a lifetime experience. On stage that performed songs were John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia, Patti Austin, Cynthia Erivo, Charlie Wilson, Ledisi, Meghan Trainor, Ne-Yo, Gregory Porter, Gloria Estefan with daughter Emily Estefan and many others. Ne-Yo walked on stage with a cast on his left leg due to an injury, but he was all smiles to perform a Michael Jackson song.

Each performance was outrageous with epic talent and beautiful voices. Each tone captured the audience and made Quincy smile. Oprah sat alongside of Quincy all night.

Lieu of presenters that attended were Oprah, LL Cool J, Danny Glover and even Usher. In between performance the screen lite up with memorable moments of Quincy’s lifetime achievements and contributions to charities. The major talent that he helped over the years shows how popular he has become over the years and more to come.

Before the showing, many walked the red carpet. Charlie Wilson (Musician), Cynthia Erivo (Music Artist), Gloria Estefan (Singer), Emilio Estefan (Musician / Producer), Ledisi (Singer), Meghan Trainor (Music Artist), Danny Glover (Actor), Ne-Yo (R&B Music Artist), Patti Austin (Singer), Ludacris (Rapper), Yolanda Adams (Gospel Singer) and others.

Quincy “Q” Jones career spans six decades in the entertainment industry. He has a record of 79 Grammy Awards nominations and 27 Grammys including a Grammy Legend Award in 1991. He producer of Michael Jackson’s “Off the Wall” album in 1979, and 1982 for the “Thriller” album. He produced and conducted a charity song “We are the world” in 1985 that raised funds for victims in Ethiopia. In 2013, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as the winner alongside Lou Adler of the Ahmet Ertegun Award. He has worked with many musicians and colleagues for charity work. He continues to be loved by many.
