EBONY Power 100 Gala honors and recognizes talent in the African-American Community.

Nationwide presented the EBONY Power 100 Gala at the Beverly Hilton located at 9876 Wilshire Blvd in the City of Beverly Hills, California on November 30, 2018 to benefit Sickle Cell Disease Association of America.

The funny Chris Tucker had the pleasure to host the gala. While music Artist Ne-Yo and James Davis entertained the invited guests.

This event brought many to honor those whose work had inspired, influenced and accomplished a society in the African-American community. Motown Records was presented the EBONY’s Icon Award. The Chairman’s Award was given to former BET Chairman and CEO Debra Lee.

Ebony Power 100 Gala’s eight categories for this unique award such as Community Crusaders, Disruptors, Entertainment & Arts, Entrepreneurs, Innovators, MVPs, Power Players and Women Up had a list of talented honorees that had accomplished and contributed to the community.

Even Former President Barack Obama and First Lady, Michelle Obama made the list for their contributions in the African-American Community. Well Cardi B and Drake was nominated for the Entertainment & Arts category.

The selected honorees were already winners.
