Writer / Director Harmony Korine celebrated Neon and Vice Studio’s “The Beach Bum” movie premiere at the ArcLight Hollywood in the City of Los Angeles, California on March 28, 2019.
The movie is in theaters starting March 29, 2019 and scheduled streaming on Hulu on Friday, August 9, 2019.
The Beach Bum movie is about a Writer name Moondog who is fun, smokes pot, drinks beer and lives his life on his own terms. If only he can finally make a good use of time to finish his next American Novel.
Matthew McConaughey plays Moondog and co-stars with Snoop Dog (Lingerie – a Rapper), Isla Fisher (Minnie – Moondog’s wife), Stefania LaVie Owen (Heather – Moondog’s daughter), Martin Lawrence (Captain Wack – a Dolphin Tour Guide), Zac Efron (Flicker – a drug rehabilitation patient), Jonah Hill (Lewis – a literary agent), Jimmy Buffett (as himself) and many other casts.

Matthew McConaughey, Snoop Dog, Zac Efron, Stefania LaVie Owen, Jimmy Buffett, Isla Fisher, Jenny Ariza, Jerry Ascione, Debra Cohen, Alan Frankel, Karla Goodwin, Richardo Matallana, Sharon Pfeiffer, Joshua Ritter, Moby and London Seabreeze. Writer / Director Harmony Korine walked among the casts.

Many fans lined up to greet, take pictures and get an autograph from Mr. McConaughey before he approached the red carpet.
After you review the trailer of the movie, you will notice the craziness of Moondog’s life and the inter-circle of friends he associates with. The one moment where he realizes he needs to get his next novel started.
