A drama film directed by Dome Karukoski and Fox Searchlight Pictures presented the film at the premiere of Tolkien located at the Regency Westwood Village in the City of Westwood, California on May 8, 2019.
The film is about a well-known Author name J.R.R. Tolkien, who is the Author of “The Hobbit’, “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Silmarillion”. As a young boy J.R.R. Tolkien becomes friends with a group of artists and writers at his school. He found this group to be inspirational. They grew a bond of friendship that grows over the years. For the film indicates J.R.R. Tolkien falls in love with Edith Bratt. When World War I comes about, Tolkien’s friendships were tested and some friendships were torn apart. With this happening in his life, he was inspired to write novels.
Actor Nicholas Hoult plays J.R.R. Tolkien in the film, while Lily Collins plays Edith Bratt. The film also announced other talented actors and actresses such as Laura Donnelly (Mable Tolkien), Patrick Gibson (R.Q. Gilson), Genevieve O’Reilly (Mrs. Smith), Pam Ferris (Mrs. Faulkner), Derek Jacobi (Professor Wright), Colm Meaney (Father Francis Morgan), Craig Roberts (Sam), Mimi Keene (Young Edith), Anthony Boyle (G.B Smith), Tom-Glynn-Carney (Christopher Wiseman), Harry Gilby (Young J.R.R. Tolkien), Ty Tennant (Young Christopher Wiseman), Aaron Neil (Sergeant Kahn) and many others casts that made this film possible.
Behind the red carpet entrance where the stars approached were many fans waiting for autographs and pictures. Nicholas Hoult, Lily Collins and Dome Karukoski signed posters. There were also a dozen of fans dressed up for the occasion. Since J.R.R. Tolkien is a Author of “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” a few fans dressed like similar characters from this two hit movies. It made the carpet fun for the talent.
