Maxim and DIRECTV collaborated bringing the big game weekend party to Los Angeles.

On February 12, 2022, DirecTV presented the MAXIM’s Big Game Weekend party at the City Market Pavilion in Downtown Los Angeles. It was a two-day event.


Starting off the weekend for February 11th performing was GUNNA, Lil Baby and Chainsmokers. February 12th performers were DJ Vice, 50 Cent, Loud Luxury and Tiesto. The fun event started with a red-carpet entrance and DirecTV officially sponsoring both night events. DirecTV has a long history as a leader in sports and entertainment and Maxim has entertained many at big party events.


What a way to kick off the weekend before the big football game celebration.


Friday, February 11th, great performers hit the stage, lets begin with GUNNA.


GUNNA is an American Rapper that released his debut album “Drip or Drown 2” in 2019 and second studio album “Wunna” in 2020 which hit the Billboard 200. In 2022, he put out another album “DS4Ever”.


Lil Baby is an American Rapper that rose to fame in 2017 releasing his mix tap “Perfect Timing”. In 2018 the album “Harder Than Ever” was certified RIAA Platinum which included a song with Drake. He also released two more albums in 2018 which a few songs hit the Billboard Hot 100. June 2020, he released a single “The Bigger Picture” which hit number three on the Hot 100, becoming the highest-charting song as a lead singer. He was also nominated for three Grammy Awards and two American Music Awards.


The Chainsmokers is an American Electronic DJ and production duo. Alexander Pall and Andrew Taggart started out releasing remixes of songs by indie artists. They achieved a breakthrough with their 2014 song “#Selfie” which become a top-twenty single in several countries. They also won a Grammy Award and two American Music Awards. They both became one of the highest-paid DJS and listed on Forbes in 2019.


Saturday, February 12th line up were:


DJ Vice named one of the best American’s DJs that is a LA native. He performed on stage for the hottest clubs across the country. He has performed at Ultra Miami, Nocturnal Wonderland and even the Electric Daisy Carnival. He signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA). He also collaborated with a wide variety of artists.


50 Cent is an American Rapper, Actor and a businessman. He is will-known to have a big impact in the hip hop industry. In 2000, he pursued his musical career and produced “Power of the Dollar” for Columbia Records. In 2002, he was discovered by Eminem and signed by Shady Records under Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records. He then produced his major-label album “Get Rich or Die Tryin” and became one of the world’s best-selling rappers. He has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards including a Grammy Award, thirteen Billboard Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and four BET Awards. He also financially invested in highly diversified variety of industries such as record, talent management, television and film production.


Loud Luxury is a DJ duo from a Canadian music Production featuring Andrew Fedyk and Joe Depace currently base in Los Angeles. In 2017, they release a remix of the Martin Garrix single “Scared to be Lonely”. They also released an original single titled “Body” through Armin van Buuren’s record label Armada Music. The song debuted on the Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs that charted number 49 and selling 20,000 downloads and gaining over 40,000,000 streams.


Tiësto is a Dutch DJ and Record Producer from Breda, North Brabant. Fans voted him the “Greatest DJ of All Times” in the Mix Magazine. He was also regarded as the “Godfather of EDM” by many sources. In 1997, he founded the label “Black Hole Recordings” with Arny Bink. He then released the “Magik” and “In Search of Sunrise” cd series. In 1998, Tiësto met Producer, Dennis Waakop Reijers and they have been working together since then. In 2004, Summer Olympics opening ceremony, he was the first DJ to play live on stage. He also won a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording Non-Classical for his remixed version of John Legend’s Hit “All of Me” at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
