The Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation helps to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes. The primary effort is to raise funds for new treatments and cures especially for children. A young girl name Alex was diagnosed with cancer before her first birthday. At four years old, Alex wanted to set up a lemonade stand in her front yard to raise money for cancer. Her first lemonade stand raised $2,000 in one day. Alex passed away at the age of eight. The foundation to date continues to raise money for childhood cancer.
This event was especially fun for the young children who came out with their parents celebrating until 10:00 p.m. The foundation started with a young child’s dream to help Cancer treatments. With this, many other children can get an intuitive to contribute and start a foundation of their own.
